Saturday Down The PCH

This Saturday my compadre Randy was celebrating his 30th birthday. He wanted to take a cruise with his best friends down the PCH in our cars so that's what we did. We took of from his house and headed down Saviers rd. to Channel Islands rd. to the PCH and down to Neptune's Net. The weather was nice and abit sunny. I took some video of the cruise too. We had a caravan of cars from Randy's 58 Impala, Carlos 49 Chevy coupe, Ricks 68 Impala, Lolo's 65 Impala, Angels 50 Chevy Fleet line and my 36 Ford pick up. We had a few beers and drove back home to get ready for the party. Here's the footage.

Tonight I got the engine primed up, got the intake manifold on, the dizzy, some water plugs and a quick mock up with the headders.

Got the old 1/2 drill and primer.

Oil through all the push rods.

New Fel-Pro intake gaskets.

All done ready for the install.

On compression stroke 8 degrees out.

Will start on the first crank.

Engine Work 355ci.

Got home from work and realized I haven't gotten any work done on the 355ci. for the 65 chevelle. So today my wife and I decided to go in the garage for a few hours to get this engine back in soon.

Here I am torquing down the head in sequence.

Here I'm installing the new fluid dampener.

Here I'm adjusting the lifter pre-load.

Here's the finished product.

Time to get the rest of the top-end done.

The Chief! the test drive

Here is a short video I took with my tablet when I went down to San Diego to visit my buddy Travis. San Diego is said to come from the germans called "a whales vigina" thats what I heard according to Ron Burgandy. This is an H D shot in the Chief.

Pharaohs at the Ventura Nationals

Car show today in ventura, had a he'll of a good time. Lots of new cars and new people, talked to some old friends and checked out some of the vendors. We also got our new club banner made by one of our girls in the club. Its made old school with felt on canvas. Check it out.
