Down in San Diego

Went down to SD to go pay my friend Travis a visit. I hadn't seen him in a few months so I had to go check up on him. Got a quick ride in the "CHIEF" and got to check out some progress on the 40 rusty coupe. Dam thats a shit load of work but its coming along really nice ( for what it is ).

American Standard

Check out this American Standard logo. I love old school type lettering especially old calligraphy. This was on a urinal at an old mexican restaurant. Had to take a quick snap of it.

Finished the 235

Installed the head, adjusted the valve train and now its ready for some custom paint. My buddy Ralph is going to do the paint work. The engine will head back to his house for install and engine brake in. I know he wants to get his 50 back on the road.

3rd Place, can't beat that.

Wow after two weeks of beating on the 36 to get it ready for the Beatnik Blowout I was awarded with 3rd place by my friend Kevin for under construction award. Thanks to all my freinds who made it possible to get my truck ready for this event.

Beatnik Blowout 2011

Dam I am tired, finished the truck by 2am this morning, was doing the test drive by 1:30am. Got up by 5:30am and headed out to the rondevu spot were we met up with the Dead Beats and the Draggers to go to the show, we showed up by 7am. The show was small due to other events going on all over and the holiday weekend. Still a pretty good turn out, saw lots of friends and made some new. Here's some pictures.
