Been real busy at the shop, and with Instagram it's hard to get on the blog and post something.   A few things picked up a 54 Chevy Bel Air  that i will be building as a 60's hot rod. Hopped up small block with a 4 speed and a 57 chevy rear. On my 36 pick up not much has happened besides a 4 barrel upgrade.  Used an Offy intake and an early Corvette wcfb carb with some custom linkage.  Truck runs great now with plenty of air and fuel. As for my chevelle its on the back burner for a while. Contemplating on an LS swap with a 6.0l and a 6 speed.  But that takes some serious dough.  Here are some updated pictures. 

Life happens to fast.

I've had this blog for a while now but for a long while I have been too busy to write anything up. It's a lot easier to post an instagram post then to actually write up a few sentences for a blog. So here us my attempt at getting back on board.

In the past year and a half a lot has happened.  My family has grown, the shop has been really busy and I got an extra project for a family car. My first born is now 2 1/2 years old and I have a two week old baby boy now.

My cousin and I have been really busy with new customers and new projects.
I now have a 54 Chevy Bel Air that's going to be my new family cruiser.

In the next few weeks I will be filling you in on some of the things going on around me.

66 Chevelle on Edison Rd.

Took the beast out for a shake down and reliability drive. Engine has been together for a few months now and I haven't had a chance to break in the rings properly.  I'm still working on the rear package tray but that takes time. I love driving this thing around town , now I need to save up for an over drive 4l80 or a 5 speed tremec.  I got new rubber for the rear. Does need new shocks all around to get the front end up and the rear supported.  I'm going to save up some cash to finally do an efi set up. Enough of that check out some photos.

Had worked on this car a while ago. I was going though my phone and found pictures and video of it. As you guy's know I have been really busy with the baby and work. My buddy had hit me up to reseal the intake manifold, adjust the valve train, and a quick tune before a cruise that was coming up. So today I have some pictures and later some video. Here You go.

SBC 355ci 2.0

A few months ago I decided to take the engine out of the beast for a tear down and inspection.  It had been together for 12 year's and a shit load of pulls. It was leaking oil and consuming as well.  Once a part I was amazed on how the bottom end was. Bearings were good on mains and rods. Cam bearings had seen better days and pistons and cylinders looked good. After assessing the damage and measuring all components, I was able to do a simple re ring and bearing job. The cylinder heads got new valve seals and a valve seat lap job. The seals were damaged last time in from the machine shop that was the reason for the oil consumption.  I did have to rebuild several components including carburetor, distributor, oil pump. Had a lot of cleaning to do on water pump, intake, oil pan, damper, timing cover. I'm still getting Lil things but tend up. I did also get my headers ceramic coated too. Fifty pour at DynoDannys Garage...

Finally got the fifty pour to my house for some final electrical issues, mechanical and cosmetic work. My home boy Richard has had this car for about 6 years now and it has came along way. It's in its final stages now to becoming a 70s Lowrider. I have the gauge cluster that I have been working on and now I will be installing.  The front glass will be going on along with the headliner. Still have to wire the front parking lights and go over the headlamps and brake light circuit. We are getting it road worthy to get to Fillmore for the 4th of July show. New history book out, published by Arcadia publishing.  Part of their "Images of America" Hot Rodding in Ventura county.  This book showcases our car club the Pharaohs that was established here in 1956 by Bud Hammer and his friends.  There's also the Motor Monarchs, the Kustomeers, the Gents, the Coachmen and others.
